This boot takes the qualities from the traditional combat boot and the multi-functional military boots, therefore giving you a ‘hybrid’ boot capable of various different tasks and functions. It provides great support and protection with the added characteristics of a lightweight hiking boot. The highly abrasion resistant laces combined with the Fast Rope technology allows you to lace up the boots quickly, great for when on call.
The Lowa Z8N GTX boots have a Gore-Tex® MS Light Rock lining which provides extra comfort in warmer conditions as well as being fully waterproof. It has a hydrophobic nubuck leather upper and is available in sizes 5 to 14 UK. With the added benefit of half sizes you can ensure a great fit.
The Lowa Cross Duty patented Monowrap® midsole unit is constructed with a firm 7/8 TPU stabilizer, offering optimal traction and perfect support with its high-quality surface materials. Aspects within this include the PU heel stabiliser, PU-Frame, stabilizer and EVA Polyethylene rubber sole, which all combine to make this boot very stable.
The plastic stabilizer element in The Lowa Z-8N GTX boots features in all multi-functional footwear. It improves ankle and joint stability and torsional rigidity. The stabilizer is an element of man-made materials. Take a look at some great reviews about these boots:

These boots live up to the 5 star reviews. I owned the Lowa Combat GTX preciously, and these are great boots however they are heavy and bulky. I bought these for a more lightweight comfortable boot, better suited for running and mobility. These definitely do that, they aren't far from wearing a pair of trainers. Very comfortable and look the part too!
To start off I was unsure about this model of boot, my previous boots were the Lowa Patrol boot, upon receiving my Lowa Z-8N GTX Black boots I tried them on and they felt like I was putting on a pair of trainers, they were comfortable from the get go and lightweight, as a Retail Security Officer I'm on my feet all shift and have the occasional bit of running to do. These boots allow me to run without feeling like I've got weights on my feet like the patrol boots. The only two downsides I have found for these boots is that I cannot polish the boots to a near mirror shine like I could with the patrols and that they have a fabric lace loop at the transition point to the upper of the boot in my opinion I'd prefer all lace loops to be metal. That being said I still need to use the Lowa active cream on them and see what does with them when I get time. I look forward to seeing how these boots hold up over time, the soles on my patrol boots lasted 4years without being replaced, if the Z-8N GTX's can last that long I'll be happy, the tread on these boots is holding up well on the flooring tiles at my work even when they get wet.
I have been looking for an upgrade to my existing boots, I wanted a boot that looks ok to wear in public without looking too military. Good enough to walk hundreds of miles on all terrains and flexible enough to wear as motorbike boots. These bad boys do the job. They look great, are very comfortable, have awesome ankle support when you have a pack on, are waterproof, and have great grip on the ground. They are expensive but after doing my research on the boot I could not find one review where someone had a problem with them. Patrolstore needs to add Klarna or some other means to help spread the costs for us mortals, until then the credit card took the hit.
Do it, nut up and buy a pair.... you wont regret it.
