This MWC G10 model is a direct descendant of the G10 watches we produced in the 1980s. It retains the popular battery hatch, a feature many other military watch manufacturers have since abandoned. Originally, the battery hatch was essential because early quartz watch batteries lasted only about a year. Nowadays, the battery in this watch lasts around five years, making the hatch more of a design feature than a necessity, though it remains popular for its historical significance.

This variant of MWC's G10 is among the most tested and proven models, with earlier versions in service for 40 years. It has received favorable reviews from military personnel deployed worldwide, noted for its long-term reliability and durability. A key feature contributing to its robustness is the screw-down locking crown, which offers superior protection compared to more vulnerable push-in crowns. Additionally, the watch is equipped with a shatterproof and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, introduced in mid-2024.

The watch also benefits from Luminova, enhancing nighttime visibility. Luminova functions like a light battery: after sufficient exposure to sunlight or artificial light, the dial glows in the dark until the luminosity gradually fades. Larger markings remain visible throughout the night. This activation and emission process is repeatable indefinitely, and Luminova pigments are completely free of radioactivity.

The G10 battery hatch variant is exceptionally rugged, designed to withstand extreme conditions. It comes with both a grey NATO webbing strap and a black strap, with additional straps available in various colors if desired. The back of the case features unique contract markings and a serial number.
