Police Officers Lack Mental Health Support
A Police Federation survey of 17,000 officers in 2016 showed that 39% were seeking help with mental health issues. More than 25% of officers who have taken sick leave attributed it to stress, depression and anxiety, while 65% said that they still went to work even though they felt they shouldn’t have because of the state of their mental wellbeing.

Body Armour is Causing Pain in Police Officers
More than half of police officers when questioned in a survey said that they were suffering injuries due to their uniform.
6 out of 10 respondents said they had suffered “pain or injury” as a result of their uniform and 28% said their uniform made pre-existing injuries worse. More than half said the uniform hindered their ability to do their jobs properly.
