XGO Mens Phase 1 Logo Shirt Black

The shirt is soft and very light weight. In Black this shirt is ideal for patrol duties.
The stitching is strong and withstood being put under pressure this was helped by the shirts elasticity. The collar feels floppy and has a 3 button opening which I prefer to my current patrol shirt which has a half zip opening. The classic polo shirt button opening is a lot more comfortable. I have a size Large which fits terribly it is far bigger than a large I would say it fits me as XL - XXL would. I have large arms but cannot fill the sleeve. The length of the shirt is far too long and tucking this much in just creates discomfort. Unfortunately I was not able to wear this shirt on patrol but have worn it off duty for approximately 6 hours and have exercised In it to test its absorption. The shirt does not deal with sweat particularly well, but to be fair my current patrol shirt is worse, sweat is held in the mesh and develops a odour.
When washing, I followed the label instructions and have no issues with the shirt in that respect as It has maintained its integrity.

If you were purchasing this too I would recommend going 1-2 sizes smaller depending on the fit you want.

The Good: Cooling, easy to wash & comfortable
The Bad: Medium is a bit big!
The Ugly: Scratchy label on the inside (easily solved)
I’ve never tried an XGO product before, so was unsure of what to expect in regards to quality, sizing and feel. When I put the polo shirt on, I noticed that it was a bit bigger than the Medium sized shirts that I normally have, but it still fitted me nicely. I immediately noticed how soft and smooth the material felt. Some tshirts can irritate my skin, but I had no such problems with the XGO shirt. I wore this shirt recently on a plain clothes operation, and even when worn with body armour over the top, it still provided good airflow around my body, and I didn’t get too hot, which is what I would have expected when wearing a number of layers. After a day of wearing the shirt, I washed it, and one big bonus for me is that it didn’t need any ironing, it was ready to wear once it had been dried! After a few weeks of wearing it sporadically, and washing it after every use, the material has retained its feel and shape, and is still the same as when it came out of the packet. The only two downsides I have discovered so far are the previously mentioned fact that it appears to be slightly bigger than your normal “Medium” top, and that one of the inside labels is quite scratchy against your skin – this is easily solved by cutting out the offending label with a pair of scissors. Just remember the washing instructions, otherwise you might end up with an XXX Small!
All in all, this is a very well made and comfortable shirt, that pulls off not too smart, but not too casual at the same time. Highly recommended!
