“I picked up a pair of these at the last minute for a hiking holiday (I went for the Gore-Tex as it was a British summer hiking holiday!). I put them on fresh out of the box and did 15 miles the first day, no blisters no rubbing, really comfortable and kept my feet bone dry! I was really impressed despite promises they wouldn't need breaking in I was expecting some problems but these were perfect from the first to the last!”
“Will probably never buy another boot again! So comfortable and light weight, perfect fit, thought they looked chunky so would be heavy at all. And this is only day 1 of wearing them! I love them!”

Absolutely 10out of 10 worth every penny the most comfortable boots I have ever bought outstanding
Second pair I have ever had - first pair lasted 19 years and were used in all environments. Was a no brainier to replace with a new pair…..perfect. Cannot recommend too much - the best boots you can buy.
Strong sturdy boots take time to break good on snow and ice bit heavy but downside soles don't last I do long patrols nine months in need resoling uppers still in great condition though overall good boots I do pound concrete and towpaths difficult to run in due weight
Hand these for a year now, amazing comfort durability and grip.
Goretex does not breath, regardless of what they say so at times you end up with salt marks due to sweat.
I decided to buy the patrol boot too for the summer months which are not goretex lined, and are much cooler - I probably use them more if I’m honest.
The mountains have come back on now it’s November and I’ll have them on till April.
Great boots and are built to last.
Downside: they are slightly bulky and not the best for running, so if you want a slightly slimmer boot think about the uplander or possibly Alt-berg.
Hope this helps.
Just had the boots delivered.28-7-17, wore them all day no probs. They are replacing the same boots which are in retirement after 18 years. The leather as cracked so they can only come out in dry weather.I hope my new ones will last as long.
